The Layton Funeral Florist is located at Annie’s Main Street Floral in Layton Utah. I’m the owner, my name is Annie Whittaker. I started out in the flower business as a delivery driver. Every day I would watch the designers at the store where I worked, and tried to learn as much as I could, because I realized that floral design was something I was meant to do. I just kind of fell into the business, but I realized my calling when I got the job.
One holiday, we were short on designers and I offered my help. It turned out pretty well, and here I am today. I was able to purchase the shop where I work in 2001. I can’t believe it was that long ago! The shop was all ready to be sold to someone else, and I was devastated that I was too late in finding out about the sale. Months later, things changed and I was contacted by the seller. The rest is history.
I grew up in Layton and I consider it my hometown. We have a tight knit community here and I consider the people here to be my friends and my family. I’m so happy to have the pleasure of helping you express your thoughts and feelings to someone who needs it here in this town.
